It's a shame that I never watched BSG, even though it was on like a hundred times on national tv here... It was always on before Buffy, I remember that :b
Anyway, I really loved some of the cliffhangers that you chose! I totally agree with you on 'The Gift'. If I didn't know there was already a 6th season when I watched it, I'd be even more scared. It was so...overwhelming.
'Leave It To Beaver' is probably my favorite VMars episode, exactly for the reasons you mentioned. When she said "I was hoping it would be you", I remember I yelled "WHAT?" :D
And I also loved when Lorelai proposed, that was definitely a shock.

Very good overall, loved reading this ;))

Watching The Gift and being like OMG IS THE SHOW GOING TO GO ON? scared the crap out of me. I knew it was a supernatural show and they could bring her back, but I was like OMG WTF NO!

And you should watch BSG. Seriously. It's so amazing.

I just remember freaking out about the VM ending. I was like OMG WHO WAS AT THE DOOR? WHO WAS AT THE DOOR? I flipped out the entire summer and then when season 2 began, I remember sitting down and going, "OK, no one say a word until I find out who the hell was at the door." And then they tricked us thinking she'd be with Logan and then she was with Duncan. I was mad. lol

Oh God. I just kept thinking of how the heck she'd come back. O.O

I'll check if it's still on :D

Uhh ? But Logan was at the door, after being in that fight with Weevil, no ? I'm confused :S

Yeah, Logan was at the door, but then they weren't together when it was present time. She and Logan had broken up by that time and then when it wasn't a flashback anymore, Veronica was with Duncan.

Since I don't watch BSG, I skimmed a lot of these cliffhangers, LOL.
But I love that you picked that VM episode. I miss that show so much.
And GG! Lorelai is the best.
I've seen a few Buffy episodes here and there, but I was a little too young when the show aired in Germany, so I never really watched it.
But I'm currently downloading season 1 to catch up, so, yay! (:

Haha, you should watch BSG online. I know a lot of people are skeptical cause it's sci-fi, but honestly, it's so character driven it's not really sci-fi, it's a drama that happens to have space. lol

And good luck on catching up with Buffy. It's an amazing show.

That was such an amazing post! You put so much time into it and it was really fun to read. I love the Buffy & Angel choices. Thinking about Not Fade Away still makes my stomach twist because I'll never know what happens. Didn't they make some kind of Angel comic where they tell you who lived and died? Who knows, a part of me doesn't want to know unless they all live! =)

I really miss S1. Veronica Mars. I'm about to go watch an episode of that later.

Yeah they've made an Angel comic. I haven't bought it yet, but I'm going to. I can't stand NOT reading it. Right now it's like a blissful thought thinking who survived and who didn't, but I have to buy it soon and find out.

And I miss VM season 1 x a bajillion. I basically just miss VM in general, but s1 was so amazing.

OMG I justed teared up when seeing your #1. Buffy dieing and all her friends crying was horrible. Aww, I'm still tearing up.

Your #2 of Battlestar was crazy. All 3 of your points were WTF moments. I screamed the whole time.

#5 was so tons of crazy. Especially the fleet just jumping away.

I remember when #6 happened. I cursed television for giving us cliffhangers that caused us to wait an entire summer to find out what happens.

Ah when Angel ended like that I was dumbstruck. At least we find out what happens in the comics.

I honestly feel that #10 should be further up on the list. I was jumping up for joy and then my heart fell to the floor. AH I was so angry.

Number 10 should probably be way up on the list, but I just couldn't move VM or Angel, lol. It totally beats the Gilmore Girls one though. It makes me so sad! :( I can't wait until January. I might die.

first of all, let me just say that your lists like this totally rock - it's nice to read this sort of LJ post, and the pictures/quotes definitely make it!!

i don't watch most of these shows, but i agree about GG and Grey's (I often forget about that one when thinking about TV cliffhangers).

I also agree with your Office & GG HMs - although, for those two shows, my top cliffhangers are definitely Jim's confession/kiss to Pam at the end of S2, and the S4 finale for GG with Rory sleeping with Dean and Luke/Lorelai kissing. I remember feeling like that summer went by SO SLOW just waiting to see where they'd go with all that!

Aw, I'm glad you like the post! lol

I was thinking, what show really had an OMGWTF moment? And Grey's popped into my head. Season 1 of Grey's was so freaking good.

And I had a feeling Jim/Pam wouldn't get together after season 2, so it didn't mean as much to me, but it was a really good cliffhanger. And I tend to not think about the GG season 4 finale. I refer to it as the NastyDean!Sex and it makes me want to throw up (Rory/Jess forever! lol), but I will admit the Luke/Lorelai stuff made it a great cliffhanger.
