OK, how are people logging in securely?

The default login seems to refuse secure auth.... but I found a login link off the "Create Blog" page that claimed it was secure, so here I am logged in once again.

But that seems an utterly wrong way to go about it.

Are people just logging in in the clear, or is there some saner trick?

I've got the "remember me" bit on, and don't actually care that much if someone steals my LJ password. I vaguely remember hearing that LJ wasn't going to support secure logins anymore -- try searching on that?

ok, no more cookie clearing for me. odd that signing up for a new account is still secure but logging in to old is not.

There's a secure login page at https://www.livejournal.com/login.bml. I just keep that bookmarked.
