Oh LOL! No one believed it, but he did it :-) This is great: When none of them made to move, just stood there gaping at him like he'd just quoted poetry, he looked sorta hurt, though it was always kinda hard to tell with him. “What are you morons starin' at? I got charms too, you know. And I know how to use 'em, which is more than the pretty doc here can say..." I also liked how Kaylee couldn't let the opportunity pass her by at the beginning. Lovely work, as always!

Thanks! I'm not always sure of how well my Kaylee narrative-voice works, so that's good to hear.

As for Jayne, well, the key to anything is giving him a big stick and standing back...wait, nevermind. ;)

Ha ha, loved it. Thoroughly believable - Jayne has a lot more esperience that Simon and doesn't seem to have any trouble being friendly with women when he makes the effort, wereas Simon has enough trouble with the ones on board Serenity. Your characterisation, as always, is spot on and the tone like an episode. I especially like Kaylee being opportunistic at the beginning and When none of them made to move, just stood there gaping at him like he'd just quoted poetry, he looked sorta hurt, though it was always kinda hard to tell with him. Thank you! Poor Simon, he just isn't very good at talking to girls. And Jayne does have his uses from time to time!
