Wait, did I tell you that story? That is in fact the only reason I've ever been in the back of a police car...

The only time I've ever been in the back of a police car was following a 4th of July parade in my hometown. I had a tendency to overheat horrendously (140 lb girl + 45 lb xlylophone + wool uniform + 97 degrees + 80% humidity = 16 year old me in a lump on the pavement).

I was about 30 seconds from them opting to move me away in the ambulance instead, but they decided to transport me back to the school in the back of a police van instead. Wheee!
