Your life always looks exciting! I'm glad we'll get you at least for a while. Because you still have to come see our house. And our cat. And our house. And us.
Aside from the round-the-world trip, I am planning to stay in the Twin Cities for ALL of 2008. You will see so much of me you will be begging me to leave!
I'm allergic to cats though, alas.

It's a timing thing. I read my friends-list once a day. Yours happened to be the most recent entry that had been posted before I started reading. If I'd read it early in the morning like I'd planned, I wouldn't have replied until tomorrow.
That sounds terrifically exciting. Most of all because you won't just be sightseeing, but visiting the places in the context of people you care about. I'm looking forward to the travelogue!
And of course, if you decide to make a stop in the northeastern US, I have a comfy futon. And I promise not to tell you to park in a tow zone this time.
You should read whatever you can about past around-the-world voyages before you go. Maybe when it's all done you'll have enough to talk about that you could write a book: Around the World by Accident
I'm sure it could make an interesting memoir/travelogue. And by interesting, I mean interesting to publishers.
