It makes a point, but it's a really haphazard and poorly-written article, with only a cursory understanding of MySpace and Facebook, as well as class divisions themselves.
Someone I work with said he'd gone to school with this woman, and after the class she wrote to the professor of the class he was TA'ing, claiming they were racist because the class website was on a black background and referenced the "All Your Base" joke.
