Eighth grade is hard enough without state sanctioned abuse! I felt really sorry for Rhian. The last line made me absolutely shudder. Excellently written!

Wow, that would be absolutely terrible (the punishment). They are trying to break the poor guy down :(

This is a seriously messed up society, but I can see it becoming a popular series, a little like an updated "Giver." Are you going to continue it? I truly think it would catch on!

Thank you! All of my entries this season so far (and hopefully until we're done) take place in the same universe, although the time span I'm planning ranges about 25 years. This one takes place a few months before my entry for "What Really Matters." I'm wondering if I should explore these characters more or stick with one-offs. Who knows what the future holds? :)
