Cellphones & Driving

I thought I would give you'll a heads up:

My dad said that starting July 1st, it will be illegal to talk on your cellphone while driving. That is unless you can use it without impairing your hands, i.e. a bluetooth earpiece. He also said that the cops will be on the lookout, and ticketing like crazy for offenders.

Finally a reason to get a headset. My parents already have them, because apparently they're afraid of the horrible, horrible cancer rays that come out of cellphones. Right.

According to the DMV website, this law will be "operative July 1, 2011."

So we've got awhile.
