I really should know by now that anything at RPI involving EMPAC is just going to be Weird (please note capital W, as a lowercase w does not do justice)... I went to see "Amplification" at the RPI Playhouse last night with shakenbysound and a couple of her friends. It was quite an experience

Wow... sounds like an impressive performance. Sorry I couldn't make it... every once in a while, one needs to see a WTF-worthy performance.

Still, life is about new experiences, so why not just go?

Yeah, I pretty much agree with everything you said. Although the people were clothed in the toy-car scene.

To me the whole set up/stage/lighting/sound was awesome, and then the dancers were awesome. The choreography was awesome. But, the story line and the nakedness were confusing at times.

Sometimes performances like these are the best just for the experience. You don't have to "get it" you just have to have a good story when the night is over. I mean, come on, when's the last time you used the words "model cars" and "naked bodies" in the same sentence? :)
