yuck!!! I know how the water damage feels:D
hopefully you are not responsible for the damage as
it was not your water heater etc... AND they misrepresented
that this problem was fixed!!
Good Luck

(that Mr. C guy, you should give him
some of your yummy cookies since I can't have them:D)

I'd like to, but he's on a diet (he's actually lost a lot of weight) so I don't think he'd appreciate it... we're trying to think of a way to thank him that doesn't involve sugar. :-)

I don't know how home insurance works for condos, would that cover a claim? Then *they* could chase the management company to get the money back!

I'm honestly not sure because we haven't had to deal with anything like this before. I have to make some phone calls tomorrow.

My computer deleted my first reply..
1 a faulty part on a brand new washer one week after use. Several inches of wateroverflowed. It got into the ceiling and water poured out of a hole in my downstairs ceiling. my ceiling came down before my eyes.
2. a clogged A/ C line from inappropriate filters from before I moved in sent water into the carpet and got a book case wet

That's awful! I hope we won't have to deal with anything that intense. It is amazing how much damage a little water can do.
