Leased a Leaf

Last November we leased a Nissan Leaf, an electric car. My wife and I carpool 60 miles round-trip and the gas was more expensive than the lease-plus-electricity, so the decision was easy. It's a 3-year lease so that'll give them some time to improve the range and drop the price, hopefully. It would be hard to go back to a gas car, it turns out ( Read more... )

That's a great, practical review. Thank you! It sounds like the Leaf has a sweet spot, and you (narrowly) fit in it. And for long distance driving, even if you didn't have a gas car you could still rent one, right?

FWIW, we went Prius V, which is basically a hybrid stationwagon. We wanted more space (since now we have two car seats), but wanted to avoid going minivan if we could help it.
