★ When he gets drunk, bring him back home and see what happens.

"That's so like Jonghyun to make a minor drink like that." Jinki mumbled as he stepped out of the bar with an unconscious Kibum on his back. "You should have been more careful,"

Jinki brought Kibum higher on his back to make it more comfortable for both of them. The younger boy was sleeping soundly, his head resting on Jinki's shoulder, fitting perfectly in the curve.

A loud sigh echoed in the empty street as Jinki walked to make his way to a more crowded one. He needed a taxi to get home and since he couldn't tell Kibum's address by heart, they were going to be two to climb in the back seat of the car willing to take them to the specific place.

Once Jinki reached the street he was aiming for, he breathed out loudly. Even though Kibum was light, it was still a challenge to carry him around when Jinki was exhausted from all the events of the night.

Thinking back about it, he should have done something right when Jonghyun had tried to strip Kibum and dress him up as catwoman - or just a generic cat, whatever, Jinki didn't care anymore-.

Kibum moaned, his head dangerously sliding off Jinki's shoulder. The older boy moved him a little so that his head was back at a safe place.

The only conscious boy looked around in hope to find any idea to attract the attention of a taxi driver and go back to his apartment. Luckily, he quickly spotted a taxi waiting in front of a store on the corner of the street.

Jinki bit his lips as he approached the car parked in from of a convenience store. As soon as he was close enough to see if anyone was inside, someone came out of the store with the ringing of a bell. Jinki ignored the sound and tried to find anything that looked like a human silhouette in the car.

"Hey," A man behind Jinki said. "You need a taxi?"

Jinki smiled and nodded. "My friend got drunk," He explained as he glanced over his shoulder to watch Kibum sleep.

"I can see that." The man remarked. "Look, I'm supposed to be on a break right now," Jinki's nodded sadly and his eyes dropped to the grey concrete under his feet. "But hop in and I'll drive you home anyway."

The brown-haired boy's eyes brightened. "Are you sure it doesn't bother you?"

"It does, but I wouldn't want to regret not doing my good turn today," The man joked as he took place in the driver's seat.

Jinki opened one of the doors. "It's very nice of you. Thank you. Thank's a lot." He slid Kibum off his back and into the car, the limp body falling messily on the back seat. Jinki scowled a little while he attempted to sit Kibum straight and buckle his seatbelt. "Here you go," He said to no one in particular.

Jinki closed the door and ran to the other side of the car. He jumped in quickly. Inside the car, Kibum's head wobbled and fell forward weirdly when the driver started the car. Jinki glanced at him worriedly then rapidly said his apartment's address out loud.

"Does your friend drink a lot?" The man asked, looking at Jinki in the rear-view mirror.

"No. He just has friends that do." Jinki replied with a chuckle. "He's usually not so easily influenced though, I don't know what happened."

"They say you fall into alcohol when you get sad. Maybe your friend was upset about something?" The taxi driver turned the wheel and entered a neighbourhood that started to be familiar to Jinki.

"I can't really think of anything." Jinki admitted, admiring the lights of the city through the misted window. He was careful not to look where Kibum was, because the younger boy was practically shining under the pink and green lights coming from electronic signs announcing bars and stores. And no matter how Jinki wanted to push the fact out of his mind; he was also drunk. He wouldn't want to be tempted to do something that he normally had the control to restrain.

"Am I at the right place?" The driver asked and the car stabilized.

Jinki looked out and immediately recognized the building. "Yes. Thank you!"

He paid the amount he was asked to. Jinki got out of the car to open the left door of the car and slid Kibum out.

"You need help?" The man in the taxi asked when he saw Jinki struggle to place Kibum on his back. His body was malleable, but too limp to be easily carried.

"No, I'm fine." Jinki finally succeeded at giving a half-decent piggyback ride. "Thank you. I really appreciated your help!"

"Take care of your little friend." The driver said before Jinki shut the door to let the taxi drive away in the night.

Jinki entered the building quietly. Kibum was whining on his back, probably small noises of discomfort or vague reactions to his dreams. Jinki was glad they had an elevator because the stairs seemed too much of a challenge for him to handle.

They stepped in the elevator and were on their floor in no time. Jinki made it to his apartment door without dropping Kibum, but when the time came to seek his keys, he had to place the sleeping boy on the floor for a couple of minutes.

Kibum groaned, but his head stayed low and unmoving.

Jinki yawned widely as his door opened to the darkness of the hall. He looked down and sighed. Kibum was still wearing the blue vest Jonghyun had stained with beer (or was it vodka?) and he still managed to look absolutely adorable (save for the small line of saliva dripping from his mouth).

Jinki mumbled as he picked up Kibum from the ground. Bridal style made his muscles work in another way than they did with piggyback rides and it felt oddly good to move his tensed arms differently. Kibum made gurgling noises apparently coming from his throat.

"If you throw up, I'm not going to hold your hair back," But Jinki knew he was going to, if it was ever needed.

Once inside, Jinki found it more and more difficult to carry Kibum around. He groaned and decided that the guest room was way too far for his body to bear the travel. In the end, Kibum was placed on Jinki's bed. The rainbow clock on the nightstand showed 2 in the morning and Jinki could barely believe he hadn't fallen asleep in the taxi.

The fabric of the bed was soft and warm and welcoming. He trailed his hand down the pillow to the green material. It smelled like soap and lavender. Jinki remembered washing the blankets the morning before. Back then it was sunny and the birds were chirping at his window. The sky was clean and perfect. Doing the laundry had been relaxing and his lazy mind had been content with doing only that.

Jinki laid his head on the pillow, gently inhaling the calming clean scent. Kibum wouldn't mind sharing a bed with him, right? If Kibum were awake, he wouldn't mind.

---

At 5AM, Jinki was woken up by someone violently kicking his shins.

"Jinki. Jinki. Jinki."

He pretended to be asleep, hoping Kibum would get bored of hitting him and go back to sleep. Jinki needed rest and didn't want his good dreams to be chased off by an angry sounding Kibum who seemed to take pleasure in murdering his already painful legs

"Jinki. Jinki. Jinki."

The called boy sighed loudly, trying to make a point.

"Jinki. Jinki. Jinki."

Nothing was going to work, so Jinki turned around to meet Kibum's worn out eyes. He wondered why the younger boy was waking him up when he was clearly as sleepy and tired as Jinki was.

"M'what?"

"My head hurts." Kibum said plainly.

Jinki awkwardly sat up, feeling his whole body protest. "I'll go get you pills or something."

"Yes."

Jinki cringed slightly. Kibum could have gone to find the medicine on his own, but he liked acting like a spoilt child, as always. And Jinki was obediently - and a bit stupidly - following the orders, as always.

Jinki quickly found a red bottle with acetaminophen pills in a drawer under the mirror in the bathroom. He went by the kitchen to pour a glass of water then came back to the bedroom to give his finds to the waiting boy.

"Thank you," Kibum said, gently placing a pill on his tongue and gulping it down with the water. Jinki took the glass back and tossed it somewhere behind his alarm clock on his nightstand.

"S't'okay now?" Jinki whispered. Kibum nodded while he tucked himself back under the covers. "Good. Sleep now."

Surprisingly, Kibum kept quiet when Jinki told him to. Blissful silence reigned over the apartment and even though that was just what Jinki wanted, it felt oddly wrong. He turned only slightly to glance over his shoulder and catch a glimpse of a curled-up Kibum trembling under the covers.

"You okay?"

"Hmm,"

It was a very vague answer from Jinki's point of view. "A positive 'hmm'?"

Kibum sighed. "No. A very negative one,"

Jinki turned his entire body toward Kibum's back. "It's quite cold tonight, don't you think?"

"Ngh..." Kibum moaned in pain as an answer.

The ticking of the clock was getting on Jinki's nerves and he knew if he had a more impulsive side, he'd knock it off the table angrily. He tightened the blankets around himself instead.

"Aren't you going to do something?" Kibum huffed.

"About what?"

Kibum rolled over to face Jinki. He had bags under his half-lidded eyes, but something twinkled in his deep brown orbs.

"The cold." Kibum struggled to get slightly closer to only source of warmth in the bed; Jinki.

Jinki flushed red, looking a Kibum in pure disbelief. The younger boy had never implied anything close to this before. "You want me to hold you?"

"I must still be drunk," Kibum snorted. "Enjoy it."

Jinki released a shaky breath. He scrabbled around for a while to finally find Kibum. Jinki delicately slid the other's body close to him, bringing the contour sheet with him. Jinki yieldingly wrapped an arm around the Kibum's back. They cuddled up under the covers, Kibum's body still shivering under Jinki's touch.

"Thank you for being so nice to me all the time." Kibum said, nuzzling Jinki's chest.

"Kibum," Jinki smiled and absentmindedly pecked the other's forehead. "You're still drunk,"

"I know," Kibum sighed. "And maybe it explains this," He lifted his head, peered into Jinki's eyes for a mere second and promptly slammed their lips together. Kibum exhaled loudly, obviously savouring the moment, while Jinki kept an unimpressed expression.

Jinki was too sleepy to actually give much thought about what was going on. He could only register the tingly feeling inside his stomach and Kibum's red cheeks. Then the soft pressing of lips was gone and Kibum was sound asleep in his arms.

"Sleep well," He said as his eyes fluttered.

Jinki laid his head on the now flat pillow. Brushing a strand of hair away from Kibum's eyes, he could only wish the boy wouldn't deny everything the next day when they'd both realised what happened.

SCHOOL ENDED! AND I'LL GET MY DIPLOMA! (As if I was worried...I passed philosophy with 97% or something...tehehe~)

It actually ended a while ago, but with university stuff stressing me out, I was sick for 2 weeks (still sick...anyone knows a good cure for earaches? )

And now some family members are supposed to come over, but I really don't feel like seeing anyone. (especially not being reminded over and over again 'How's your boyfriend? Oh that's right, you don't have one!' They find themselves very funny...hahaha.)

Anyway! I hope you liked the fic! I started it, like, weeks ago, and I didn't put a lot of efforts in it, but I guess it's okay? Hope you liked it! :D

God, I haven't been on Replay or the Onkey community in MONTHS, it feels like I'm on a hiatus!

Have a good day without weird shirts that make you feel uncomfortable! :D
