I'm having trouble deciding whether this truce is a good or bad occurrence.

On one hand, the fighting has ceased, and it seems the Angels and Demons already present have no idea the war had ever existed in the first place.

...But what will happen once things return to the way they were?

Not particularly, no. The logical thing would be to separate the two groups before they changed back, but as they are now, it's impossible to tell them apart. Even their minds are the same.
