I just saw it yesterday, and while the lines certainly are there to be interpreted in a slashy way, I didn't feel any vibes coming from Watson toward Holmes.
But on the other hand, Holmes seemed awfully invested in Watson, and in their homelife remaining status quo. I didn't get the feeling from him that it was due to a loathing of womankind in general -- which is much more obvious in the stories -- but that it was more about "Watson is mine, hands off."
So. While I agree it was nowhere as slashy as promised, it did feel a bit one-sided UST to me!
