YULETIDE IS GONNA BE OKAY.

This is not directed at anybody in particular! I just feel it is an important reminder. So true! People do seem to be making it incredibly complicated. OK, I've only done it twice, but I seem to have done the opposite of half the recommendations - requested only fandoms I wanted, with prompts with a bit of room in them, offered only fandoms I can definitely write, and not had one beta per 500 words. Or indeed any beta at all.

I often forget that not everyone approaches the "request" process the way I do, which is to go to the sign-up page, spend a long-ass time figuring out which fandoms I want to offer, go oh shit I have to come up with some requests now, quickly figure out a top four fandoms and try to come up with prompts that are not so vague as to be unhelpful...
