Has anyone else noticed that Victor Laszlo totally does not care about his wife obviously still being in love with some other dude that she met in Paris when she thought he was dead? Yeah, I've had the same niggling feelings. No wonder she's still stuck on Rick! He at least feels, y'know, proprietary. I don't know about you, but I'd like my significant other to give a toss if it looked like I might just dash off with an old flame.

Well, a) totally and yet b) I mean, the actual reason he's like this is that his character is underwritten to serve other people's story beats, but if I think of him as someone who, when everyone else is having angst and melodrama, sort of breezes past it like, hey, I was in a concentration camp, I got stuff to do--there's a certain appeal to that. Unflappable characters can be fun, although it doesn't often win them points with the ladies. :)
