These books are quite the curiosity, aren't they? Mother found two of them tucked away in a chest in one of the storage rooms at the manor. Naturally, she kept one of them for herself for studying purposes but she gave me the other to amuse myself on days I'm less busy. They seem quite fascinating. I'm not certain how I feel about strangers

It's strange, isn't it? I found mine in our attic, and I have no idea how it ended up there.

Mother seemed to think they belonged to one of my father's ancestors. I'm not sure what I think.

Perhaps I might. However, I'm content with simple experimentation for the moment. I'm curious if these books can transfer pictures and symbols across great distances as well as words.
