I was in a violent car accident about 3 - 4 weeks ago, on December 19th. My mother, Jon, and I were on our way back from early morning grocery shopping; we had intentions to make cookies upon our return home.

We were sitting in the left turn lane waiting for a gap in oncoming traffic when there was an explosion of movement and sound. )

why me, serious business

Oh my god, I'm glad you're (physically) okay. I was in a very minor car accident a few years ago and even that still terrifies me when I remember it now so I can't even imagine what you must be going through.

Right, first: It's good to see that you're still in one piece physically, bruises and all.

Second: I think you do need some buffer time to think the whole thing over in your head and that's normal. But don't let the fear control you. When you're ready to move on, move on.

If you look up at night and you see rather more stars than usual, that will be because I asked a few of the big silver ones to keep an eye on you. Hang in there.

If the Ultrans are watching me, then I have nothing to fear ♥

I'm really glad you're all right-- although, yeah, as people have said earlier, it takes time to recover from a traumatic event. Don't beat yourself up if it takes longer than you'd thought it would, okay?
