hey, you! yes, it's been a long time. are you no longer into DS or HCL or C6D in general? I haven't given them up... just been very writer's blocked on them. I was going to volunteer to pinch hit for DSSS, but I got too busy w/school & work & anyway, I wasn't sure whether my DS/HCL writer's block would recede enough. For some reason -- probably ADD and major depression, huh, ya think? -- I can either write under supreme pressure of a deadline, or write several one-shots (like drabbles or commentfic)... But actually writing, like, a whole, long story, with a real plot and action and everything... is just beyond me. Too ...terrifying, somehow. Has been the last few years. Sigh.

Anyway, good to "hear" from you, too! Hope your holidays are cool (or at least some much deserved time off!). I love/hate the winter holidays. They're obfuscated by so much crap and spending and rushing about that I can't get into the spirit... and by the time I do, they're nearly over. :-/ but the time off from work is always welcome, yay.

hey, tackle away! *hugs you back* I'm so sporadic online, lately. Correction: I am online almost every day during each school semester... drudging through it, resenting it, and wishing it didn't take me away from my other lives (here and RL).

Are you just "done" w/DS? And which bands in Bandom? Funny, I stopped listening to a lot of music after my mom died; everything made me want to cry, even happy music (because, like, remembering happy times when you're miserably depressed is worse than not thinking about them at all). So I just had to stop. But the last several months I've started to get into music again, just DLed some ancient (Creedence) and newer (TV On The Radio; The Civil Wars) to my new prepaid Droid phone.

I really didn't expect to get into tVD, but then I did. I blame s1 Damon, sad!Elena, and S2 Katherine for that, heh. tVD's tragic, doomed, monstrous, dysfunctional characters and storylines irresistibly called to my messed-up little mind. *g*

Go you for getting into the writing! I only recently just started to get my toes wet in it again as well, and for me it's an intimidating experience, attempting to introduce yourself within an already well-established fandom. So, good on you!

I've only seen maybe an episode and a half of the Vampire Diaries, but my initial thought was something along the lines of 'holy hell, they must be rolling in fic.' May they give you many lightbulbs of inspiration.
