Rory still wants to get married. He wants a wedding and everything and he wants to marry his fiancee because, dammit, he's been waiting 2000 years and he deserves it.
While that isn't exactly an event itself, what if it was the cause of an event? The wedding. I mean, a wedding is technically an event, but. What if having the wedding/planning the wedding, whatever, whoever was involved, something about it spurred some kind of event?
I basically bring this up because a wedding is a big deal and stuff. And I think it would be fun to make it MORE than just a wedding. Because most weddings are boring. Granted, Rory and Amy's probably wouldn't be, but they did just gloss over it in canon and go straight to the reception, so that tells us something.
Uhm. This isn't particularly well thought out. But anybody have thoughts?

I was thinking more along the lines of something like you suggested, actually! I mean, like said up in the post, the plot can revolve around the players, not the plot of the game. And I just feel like a wedding is a perfect big event for something to happen that revolves around the players and they have to take care of rather than something big plotty happening.
