Mary yawned and stretched as she walked. That's what she got for waking up early after a night of hanging out with everyone. It wasn't a very late night, but enough to make her feel tired. She stopped short of the training room, one of two that remained intact after a certain... incident. This must be the place.
The blonde pulled the door open and stepped inside, blinking when she noticed the man in the center of the room. "Oh! Hi! I didn't know this room was booked." She felt a little silly for interrupting his training. "If you want to be left alone, I can go to the next room or something."
Conrad stopped his sword in midair and looked over his shoulder at the blond woman. He lowered his sword and turned around to face her.
"No, I don´t mind. There is enough space for both of us." Conrad rubbed his neck. "I didn´t know that I need to book the room. Anyway, my name is Conrad Weller. It´s a pleasure to meet you."
((ooc: sorry for the slow tagging. I have fallen sick. :( ))
The grappler perked up when she heard his name. So -this- was Conrad. Not a bad looking guy at all. "Mary. Nice to meet you too. I don't think we need to book them. I dunno, the guy who runs the place wasn't specific." She shrugged and chuckled. "So you're a swordsman? It's been a while since I've seen OR fought one."
((OOC: No problem. :3 I hope you feel better soon))
"Nice to meet you, Mary," he looked at his sword and back to her. "I guess you are from a world where you don´t use swords anymore, right?"
Conrad had seen humans using guns at each other as he had visit Earth for two years. A sword seemed there to be utterly outdated. His keen eyes mustered her, trying to figure out her fighting skills without being obvious that he was doing this. It would be rude, to stare at a woman like that.
Lulu was just trying to familiarize herself with the layout, really, she could just as easily have practiced spells in her room--except for the small space and the potential fire-hazard. Out-or-doors would really have been best. Especially since the training room seemed to be occupied.
She paused in the doorway, wondering whether to be social, or to quietly move on--but it didn't pay to be shy. It couldn't hurt to observe a little, either.
sorry, I´m still ill and try to keep up with all tags ^^guardian_conradMarch 4 2009, 08:18:39 UTC
Conrad moved his sword in a horizon line away from his body, doing a sidestep against an invisible opponent. He slashed upwards and turned around as if he wanted to block up the next hit of a second opponent. He walked through the different trainings routines he had learned and some he had made up himself. He was concentrated enough not to notice her.
no worries. take your time.chasing_furyMarch 5 2009, 01:14:18 UTC
Lulu watched a moment, keen eyes following his movement as he duelled his imaginary enemies. She'd fought beside enough swordsmen to have seen some of it before, but she wasn't surprised that he improvised as well.
Supposing there was room enough for everyone, she slipped through the doorway and began moving through some qi-gong postures. Not that she was any kind of tai chi fighter, but it kept her flexible, at the same time as allowing her a means of focusing her energy for spell casting.
She decided she'd hold off on casting any lightning bolts just yet, though. She didn't want to give the swordsman a heart-attack.
Dan blew an exasperated raspberry as he sulked along the street. Vendors vending, Cleaners cleaning, children...doing children stuff. Nobody to fight...
After moving in (his one gi and it's furnished anyways), and generally getting the gist of the place, Dan noticed that most of the fighters around were always busy. It was like getting a date. So, not one to be discouraged, Dan made his way to the newly re-opened training facility.
A couple people were here, but it was quite spacious. Dan smiled, and walked in the door, and kicked off his geta.

He waited until it seemed that she had finished her own warm up. "Hello, Milady."
