As Guy entered, Kaede returned his greeting with a slight bow, a nod of the head as she took in his body language. Not much to read yet but she guessed he was one of those...rare...nice guys.

"You could have left me waiting for much longer and I wouldn't even notice," she said, "It's just part of what I do." She shrugged. "So...you want to get started?" She was guessing he was too shy to make much small-talk without something to distract him.

Kaede almost laughed. He certainly came from a different culture than she did. Even if some of the Iga's best ninja were female, feudal Japan was still a male-dominated society, and ninja in general were not the most honored class of citizens. Not like the samurai. Kaede was lucky.

Nodding, she slid into a ready stance and drew her blade, stepping forward with a few quick thrusts. The ninja sword was made for stabbing, rather than slicing like a samurai katana, but Kaede had been privileged to spar with many different styles of swordsmen over the years, so she was fairly confident in her adaptability.

She was looking forward to see what sort of challenge Guy would pose. She hoped it would be good practice for them both.
