I'm not quite crying, but I'm close enough for this.
Your way with words is absolutely amazing, and you are able to write older Logan and Veronica so well.
It probably didn't help to have some truly angsty sad music playing while I was reading this, but it was gorgeous.
I'm especially in love with how you used Japan as something so totally removed from the life that Logan and Veronica had lead until his death.
Logan's dying, I have to say, is one of the most powerful images I've ever read. That sex was just so final, and filled with everything that these two had together (together and apart.)
The way you had LV struggle to be with each other was also really moving. I hope that they can be fucntional, but I realize that it won't happen, and the situations that you had them in seemed so natural and not out of character at all.
Words are truly failing me right now. I cannot even express how touching and beautiful this was. I have read A LOT of VM fanfic, and nothing has ever moved me so much. A truly beautiful and painful story, exquisite writing, and your aged Logan and Veronica voices were absolutely perfect. What a treasure.
Okay, so I don't normally post comments, I lurk. But this story...I've never cried for a fanfic and I'm bawling, face all red, can't really breath, trying not to wake up the baby in the next room. This was beautiful, just heartbreakingly beautiful. I began falling apart here:
"Logan...what are we going to do?"
His lips brushed my cheeks as if in anticipation of the tears, and when he kissed me, I let him, because I knew he couldn't answer.
and just continued. I can't tell you how amazing this was. There just aren't words.
