In case anyone was waiting for someone to post Ausiello's EW follow-up on the VM movie in this week's issue, here it is. It's a very tiny article I typed by hand because I don't have my scanner with me, but you're not missing out on much, rest assured.

Could there be new life on Mars?

I'm actually glad that they won't go with the whole FBI thing I wasn't too crazy about that and I didn't really see how the rest of the cast would be included mainly, Logan and Wallace(who was sadly missing from season 3)

IAWTC.

The season 4 "pilot" was.. bad, IMO. It didn't feel remotely like the show I love. It felt like they suddenly tried to make it into a gritty one-hour drama like Law & Order or whatever.

Exactly! A part of me was glad that the show wasn't picked up because I'm not sure I would've stuck around after they completely obliterated all that I loved about the show.

Veronica and the 'key players' in Neptune? Basically golden words as it's her relationship with people like Daddy Mars, Logan, Wallace & Weevil (and Backup!) that make the show...

I don't feel like it's much more news at all, since basically it's the only direction they could take if they weren't doing the FBI thing (thank god), so I'm sure people were hoping for a little more info. But I know some people wanted to read it anyway.

You're welcome. :)

I agree. There isn't any real news here. Until the script is written and all the actors have signed on, I refuse to get my hopes up. I've always said that the movie will only happen if KB can prove she has the starpower to carry a movie. She's not there yet. But if "When In Rome" is a hit, I think the possibility of a VM movie is much higher.
