yeah, me too, it builds more excitement from week to week (but I'll watch regardless)--you should make sure you vote in Kristin's poll linked at the end of that, in case Rob cares what the results are since he did break the news there
It wouldn't be too bad to have short mystery arcs, say, 4-5 episodes... but just 1 or 2 episodes per mystery? I'm not sure if I would like that. It seems like the mysteries wouldn't have much depth.
I kind of assumed we wouldn't be getting a season four after the news of 20 episodes, and he himself said he was worried. Nothing wrong with him planning, though, I guess. I hope I'm proved wrong and we do get another season.
he also says, about the Season 4 chances, "I honestly don’t know much", and I think it would be silly for him to give up on our chances for one now, when the ratings could go either way now, and we have no idea how the CW's midseason replacements will do or how many of the longer-running shows will end this year (like Seventh Heaven, Gilmore Girls, and Girlfriends). Also, showing the network that he's making an effort to make the show more accessible to new viewers at the end of Season 3 (and plans to continue to do so in S.4) might make them more willing to give us a Season 4, too
UGH dude, the thing i like most about veronica mars is that it has the best freakin mystery arcs on television. HOW IN THE WORLD CAN THEY TAKE AWAY THE MYSTERY ARCS OF A MYSTERY SHOW. i think last nights episode proves that the arcs work. if they take away the build up, than we won't get the great outstanding conclusions
Arcs work, but only for people like us who understand what we're watching. Acrs don't work for people who are casual viewers or are just trying to get into the show, it confuses them.
