For those of you that don't follow me on tumblr, I made a post recently about how bored I am of all of my sims. No pretense, no long rambling explanation, just "I'm sick of these things

I can't completely 100% understand how you're feeling (no one can) but I do understand the feeling of being bored of your sims! If it's boring you, then don't do it, no matter who expects updates from you. What I always tell myself is that the Sims is a game I play for ME and share pictures with my friends for fun. If it's not fun anymore, then I'm not doing it for me.
I hope the fun comes back soon!
Last year, I moved to Uni, 4 and a half hours away from my home. I think I might know a little bit about what that's like. If you ever want to chat about anything - feel free to shoot me a PM! I have Skype, too and other IM programs! University is great, but you're right, it's complicated! And it's a big change.. I could have never done it on my own!
Yeah, that's something I always tell myself. "I'm doing this for me and I'm bored so why am I doing it?" That's kind of what prompted this post actually :p
Me too! I've put a lot into this game over the years, and I know I still want to play it, but right now I'm just bored!
I've been going to college this whole time, but going to a 4 year university is still way different from what I've been experiencing for the past 3 years. I'm worried about it but excited at the same time because I'm that much closer to receiving my bachelor's degree in mathematics. And thank you for the offer.
I'll be honest--I'm kind of at that stage too and I completely agree that forcing yourself to play the sims or a family you don't want is tedious, unfair, and no fun. I hope you do play a family and enjoy it for you and share pics if you'd like! No pressures, though. (:
I feel like I make this post once every couple of months and I'm annoyed with myself, but in all reality...I'm just bored of playing. When I open the game, I'm only in there for 30 minutes or less, and even then I'm not focused on my actual game. I switch windows and do other things and then eventually just close it down. I still get the all consuming urge to play and that's the reason I open the game to begin with, but once I'm in game I don't want to play anymore. It's really dumb.
That's exactly how it is! I can load it up, get all excited to play a family, and decide to do a makeover. Then I shut down less than an hour later, no makeover, no nothing. :|
I actually did play the other night and it was super fun, but I don't see it being a continuous thing. :/
Have you ever thought about trying ts3 to see if that rekindles the fire or are you just taking a break and doing your own thing. :)
TS3 just doesn't do a thing for me, that's why I sold it. Once I get into the game, I have fun, but it's getting into the game that's really hard for me.
I think a nice break is in order, with playing and pressure thrown in every so often.
I'm honestly in the same boat right now (which is why I haven't updated in ages). I'm tired of my sims, tired of what I'm currently doing...but too much of a coward to actually say anything. >.>
