*gasp* Whatever tipped you off? xD

I was crushed by the news, utterly, utterly crushed; still am and probably always will be. I've never been a particularly expressive person, and even though I see so many other people get away with saying all sorts of stuff on social media with the hand-wave known as "Opinions are my own", I'm still afraid of being truly passionate about the things I love, even here on my own turf. But I'm letting (some of it) out into the open now. Time will tell if allowing myself to fall in love would really give me a heart attack. :P

S3 has non-survivable ratings, basically. I'm not sure whether it would make sense for a streaming service or not, financially speaking, but it's hard to fault NBC because it's... not even TV really. There's no other TV show like it, even on Netflix or BBC or HBO or what have you. It's like a very long arthouse movie, and that type of movie never makes much money either. XD;

Firstly, thank you so much for taking the time to read and comment on my journal. The term “蓬荜生辉” doesn't even begin to cover it when someone does that.
Secondly, I'm not sure I understand fully your "S3 has non-survivable ratings, basically" line, unless you were referring to Hannibal specifically; I cannot imagine something like Breaking Bad doing badly in their 3rd season.
Thirdly, I wholly concur with your saying that there really is nothing like Hannibal on TV, that it really isn't TV. Unlike movie flops that grew into Cult Classics via VHS/DVD viewings such as Fight Club, however, when a TV series gets axed it's effectively unfinished forever, like a fucking Kafka novel. Which is *so* sad.
