We put our clocks back last weekend and it's taken me all week to get used to it. Not so much the mornings but the nights. I love the darker evenings though... settling down, nice and cozy, with a good book or TV show.

This is the first year that our clocks haven't gone back the weekend before Halloween; I wish they'd change it back to that weekend, so kids could get an earlier start trick-or-treating. Most kids still like to go out after dark--I know I always did--which meant this year that most of the little goblins didn't start ringing the bell until well after 7:30. Not a problem, but I can remember how excited I would get on Halloween--I'd gulp down whatever was for dinner and run to get into my costume, ready as soon as the sun dipped below the horizon.
