Great! I remember the same colloquium, but we discussed rather symbolical then historical aspect of myth... Who can distinguish it, though. =) I made a report about some ambiguities in texts of the eddic poems, if i'am not mistaken. I wish we had read the Professor's lectures too.

And what's your actual professor's name?

Oh, we discussed some symbols, too... I think. We probably focus on the themes and motifs the most. Things that later show up in literature all over the world. It's all rather interwoven, yes. XD
And yes, I did mention some ambiguities too; quite a large amount is touched upon in the commentary of The Legend of Sigurd and Gudrun (most of it being polished or eliminated by Tolkien in his own version).
I was quite blazed by the topic! a wonderful opportunity, really.

Oh, it's Svetlakova, of course. :D
