I've only read the first of the HDM series, though my best friend ranted to me for hours about the rest of it, and this is just. Oh my GOD, it is amazing. I can't list everything I loved because it is everything and Ohhhhh, man, it was just so chilling to read. I thought the Daemon that never settled would've been Percy's, and I got to the end and was like "wait a minute, but one's not supposed to settle, that's in the title" but then I remembered Rhondi and almost cried. ;A;
This was BEAUTIFUL and amazing and please PLEASE never stop writing! Ever!

Seriously. fdjkfhrshkjcjsk, YOU ♥. Thank you so much for such an amazing comment. And yes, I wondered if I left it too thinly veiled that Rhondi was the daemon that never settled -- but it would have been so easy for Percy to go down that path as well. It was just ... lots of fun to write :DDD
I'm sorry this reply is so late! Thank you! ♥

I'm a huge HDM fan, and only recently got into PJO fandom on the advice of a friend, but this is just... lovely.
I love your choices of dæmons for everyone, and when Luke said that Kronos had killed Rhondi-- agh, just a punch in the gut right there! Sosad.
This is so great, sososo great. You've taken all the most gutwrenching moments in the series and just added so much more color with the dæmons there. I love it. <3

And may I just say that you actually made me cry? Luke telling Percy that Kronos had killed Rhondi was absolutely heart breaking, and then when Yalena finally settled, I got a case of the happy tears. Nico's grief over Bianca and finding out that Linne settled early was also a near tear jerker. On the subject of everyone's daemons, I think you made great choices, even if I haven't read your massive author's note yet (getting to it after I finish typing this up, as I LOVE seeing the thought process behind this kind of thing). All around fantastic job with this story, and if I see any more of your work, I am DEFINITELY going to read it!
