I remember watching Save The Last Dance (not a lifetime original but pretty darn close) with a drunk male friend of mine and when her mother dies he looked at me with tears in his eyes and said "her mother died verity...why wasn't anyone there for her? Why was I there for her?" and its just stuck with me as hilarious!
