Now that I've lost everything to you

you said you want to start something new.

and it's breakin' my heart you leaving

baby I'm grievin'

but if you wanna leave, take good care

hope you have a lot of nice things to wear

but then a lot of nice things turn bad out there.

Oh baby baby it's a wild world,

it's hard to get by just upon a smile.

Wild world - Jonathan King.

Everything passed in a blur after his talk with Sho, his words still echoing non-stop inside his mind. He didn't even know how he arrived home, or how exactly he had gotten that drunk. He arrived to an empty house, and found a note of Ohno, he had gotten on a business trip, and won't be around for a few months.

Aiba let himself fall on the floor; he had really disappointed his brother this time, so he wouldn't even told him he was leaving; now he was really alone. Of course, Nino was by his side, but he had Jun so clearly it wasn't the same. He took another sip of the bottle he had on his hand, it was what he deserved, being alone for being such a waste and a burden.

He didn't know in what moment he had fallen asleep, until he woke up soaked in tequila, the bottle had spilled out when he had let it fall.

He checked his phone and saw many missing calls from Nino, probably Jun had told him about seen him at the university. He threw the phone to a side and went to change his clothes, his head was killing him, so he looked on Ohno's office and found a bottle of whisky, maybe not the smartest idea but he didn't care. He took the bottle and kept drinking, that was when the downwards spiral began.

Every day started to be the same, he didn't almost sleep and he'd spent the whole day drunk. He started to get into fights, to go out every night and to hook up with guys. He didn't care anymore. Since that day, he hadn't see Sho again, and he'd do anything to forget, to stop thinking... to stop feeling.

He hadn't see Nino or Jun for days, he didn't want to. Everything reminded him to Sho and he couldn't stand it. He couldn't stand thinking about losing him, so he'd drink. That night was not much different, finally Nino convinced him to hang out with them, but for Aiba Nino's worried face any time he'd look to him was almost unbearable.

"Aiba-chan... you can't keep up like this"

"I don't see any problem with it"

And it was true, why couldn't he? He couldn't see a reason to go on, why couldn't he just do all that was in his hand to forget?

"It's been a month already; don't you think it's time to stop?"

Aiba was surprised, time had been flowing in a weird way for him, and he hadn't even felt like it was a month since then... time gets twisted when you run away from reality. He didn't want to keep listening to Nino, he didn't need to be told to stop... he didn't need to be reminded about that. He finished his drink and got up ready to leave.

"Sorry Nino, I'm leaving now... have fun, and go back to Jun, don't want to steal you 2 more time"

"Don't be stupid, anyway, let me take you home, you're drunk"

"I'm not going home"

There was no way for Aiba to go home; he didn't want to be back to that empty place. All he wanted was to go somewhere else and be able to drink to his limit without having to think.

Aiba saw Jun coming in their direction too, and heard him asking something that sounded like "You bringing him home already?" And Aiba snapped, he didn't need to be baby-sitted, he didn't need anybody to take care of him... he didn't want to be a burden anymore. So despite of Nino and Jun's protests he got his helmet and went to his bike, knowing perfectly how drunk he was and that he shouldn't. But why should he care? In the worst case, the only thing that would happen is that he'd free the rest from his burden.

He started driving not caring about where he was going, or how fast and reckless he was riding. The buildings passing by fast while his tears kept flowing... nothing else mattered now.

SHO’S POV:

Sho couldn't believe what Aiba had just said; he really wanted him to go back with Hiro? And then he also felt guilty for throwing those hurtful words, but it was done, there was no turning back. He pushed himself to keep on walking without turning back, Jun was there waiting for him, and then he let the tears flow. That day he skipped classes and stayed with Jun all day, and even spent the night at his house, he didn't want to have to deal with his parents.

The first days without Aiba were killer to him, but he pushed himself to keep on going, to pretend he was ok and to let himself break when nobody could see him. Eventually he learned to deal with the hollow of Aiba's absence, focusing a little too much on school to ease his pain. His parents were delighted to have the perfect son back without realizing the whole situation and when they caught him sulking they didn't hesitate to remind him, that he was better without that useless guy, that they had no future together and that he should go back to Hiro, which by consequence made him remember the last words Aiba said to him.

He had to refrain himself so many times to snap at them, because what did they know? They didn't know Aiba as he did, and they only cared about appearances. On the other hand, the feeling of loneliness became stronger, it would be a lie to say he didn't spend time with Jun but it was little, almost nothing compared to the time they used to be together, and he didn't blame him, he had Nino now.

Sometimes he even missed that snarky guy, and the whole gang, but he quickly forced himself to not think about it. Other times when Jun was around, Sho had to restrain himself to not ask about Aiba, part of him was curious to know if he missed him, but another was scared to think he already could find someone, or that he's better without him.

Sho found himself missing how his life was just a month ago really often. He missed Aiba, he missed the way the other would always make him feel, like he was something important... something worth dying for. Again, he cried before falling asleep that night.

He could keep himself composed during the day, focusing on keeping the appearance, focusing on his studies. But every night, all would fall and everything would come back to his mind, accompanied with the fact that he couldn't go back.

He was already deeply asleep when his phone started to ring, and he reached his hand wondering who could call at that time of the night. His whole body suddenly awaked when he saw Jun's name as the ID caller, and the worst scenarios passed through his mind.

He quickly opened his phone and brought it to his ear.

"Jun? What is it?"

Sho didn't know how to react when he heard Jun crying on the other side of the phone in a desperate way.

"Sho..."
