“Surrender every word, every thought every sound.

Surrender every touch, every smile, every frown.

Surrender all the pain we've endured until now.

Surrender all the hope that I lost you have found.

Surrender yourself to me.”

Surrender, Billy talent

Sho had got almost no sleep at all, Aiba's kiss set in repeat in his mind during the whole night, and even when he finally fell sleep, he had a weird dream about it. He looked himself in the mirror, sighing at the purple marks under his eyes.

"Come on, Sho, it wasn't that big deal..."

But that was what was worrying him, that it was. He got shocked by Aiba's sudden action, but didn't thought about pushing the other away, about stopping him, and he couldn't keep away the disappoint feeling when the other broke the kiss and walked away. What was wrong with him? Was he really liking Aiba?

He got dressed quickly and got finally ready to go to class, wondering if Jun would even appear that day at class or would skip it again leaving him bored at class, while having fun with Nino, and he found himself wanting the same.

He sighed for the nth time since he had woken up, driving distractedly while thinking about what would happen if he'd do the same, if he'd just accept Aiba. But again, the plans and the expectations over him brought him to reality, for sure, Aiba wasn't somebody that'd fit that. He definitely wasn't what his parents had planned for him... But what if he wanted it, what if for once he didn't want to be what the rest expected? What if he wanted to be with Aiba? And at that moment, he decided that for once, he wanted to stop being like that, just this once, he wanted to enjoy his life...

Without really realizing about it, he had already arrived to the campus to find Jun already waiting for him in the usual place.

"What's with your face?"

"Ha? You're no one to talk, since when do you wear the same 2 days in a row?"

"Touché!"

The whole morning went as normally, except that he had been day dreaming the whole classes about the previous night and about somebody till the point he even got scolded for the first time in his academic life, and to Sho's surprise, he didn't even care. He kept staying in his world during the classes, just coming back to reality to fool around with Jun who looked pretty pleased at his friend finally losing up.

"Ok, spill it, what's with you?"

"Nothing, I don't know what you mean"

Sho tried to stay serious in front of the different faces his friend was pulling while staring at him.

"Fine... then who are you and what did you do with Sho?"

Sho couldn't stop his laughter at that.

"Now seriously, you've been spacing out the whole morning, you've talked at class and you haven't even written down a word... I have better notes than you! So now tell me--"

Jun suddenly stopped when he felt some arms hugging him from behind. Sho greeted Nino briefly before turning his head towards the person that came with him, who was showing a really unexpected serious face.

He left Jun and Nino making out in the bench and moved toward the taller guy.

"Are you ok?"

But Aiba just stared at him and giggled before replying.

"Now I am"

Sho wanted to ask some more but he got interrupted by Nino that for what it looked had got enough of Jun for now.

"Well, we're leaving now"

A realization came to Sho's mind as he heard Aiba's answer.

"Well, we’re leaving too, right?"

Right, with all the time being busy daydreaming about the kiss playing on repeat inside his mind he had already forgotten he had promised the other he'd go out with him that day.

The feeling of Jun's and Nino's amused gazes over him pulled him out of his thoughts, he turned to look at the couple that now was looking at him expectant when Aiba break the silence:

"So are we going or not?"

"Let's go before I change my mind" he replied in a teasing tone, making the taller guy giggle while they started to walk to find their bikes. The first ones in left were Jun and Nino followed by them.

Sho had to admit he liked this sense of freedom and carefree-ness he was having, it was good to let himself go and enjoy things without worrying about being the perfect boy. He tightened the grip on Aiba's waist, and he could swear the other was smiling, he smiled too and enjoyed Aiba's warm against his body.

Not long after that, they arrived to a skate park, that seemed desert, but after ridding off the bike and walk a little more they could listen loud music and laughs, Sho was surprised about the place, and followed Aiba in silence till a couple of boys get close to him and received him with loud greetings and handed him a bottle of beer, he stayed there observing all, seeing how different everything was. But not different in a bad way, just this was a completely separated world comparing it with the posh parties and the boring people in them. Before he realized he felt an arm around his neck, when turning saw Jun, drinking a bear and looking at him in amusement.

"You have a lot to explain"

"I do?" Sho asked pretending innocence, but he knew it was normal his friend wondered about this 180° change of attitude

"Don't play fool on me, but I'll let it pass today just 'cuz I approve so much the rebel you. Now let's have fun"

Both of them laughed while getting close to Nino and Aiba and a couple of their friends.

Jun's arm quickly got replaced by Aiba's who didn't hesitate in introduce him.

"Everyone, this is Sho. Let's make sure he has lots of fun, ok?"

As reply he got a lot of cheers and screams, which made Sho amused and he felt at ease having Aiba's arm around him.

Time passed quickly, before any of them realized it was pass midnight and everyone was quite drunk, Sho included who was now sitting in front of the bonfire singing loud with Jun next to him.

It was the first time he was this drunk, but he didn't care, he was genuinely having fun without being judged. He didn't feel like going home yet, but Aiba's arms around him while helping him to stand were the key to let him take him home. He rode the bike as he could and vaguely listened Aiba commanding him to held tight and something about not to throw on him. When he arrived home, he was expecting that his parents were already asleep, but for his bad luck they received him with horror faces when the saw the state he was in.

"For god sake Sho, where have you been? Your father and I have been very worried while you were drinking with who knows who?"

He didn't want to have to deal with that, so he started to walk towards the stairs

"Sho! Your mother is talking to you! What is happening to you? You're not like this!" he heard his father screaming too, he bide a "whatever" without bothering to look back and headed to his room slapping the door behind him.

AIBA’S POV:

Aiba couldn't believe it, first, Sho hadn't pushed him and insulted him as he had expected, and then the other had really agreed to hang out with him next day. He went to sleep still thinking about the kiss and about how good it had felt.

As he opened his eyes the next morning, he found Ohno inside his room looking at him.

"Morning Masaki..."

Ok, that now was weird. He started to re-think over the last days looking for something that he could have done to make his brother to stare at him with that face. But nothing came to his mind, so he asked him.

"Morning... what is it?"

"Your dad is here to see you since you've been rejecting him all this time"

Aiba just groaned at that, he had really woke up in a great mood after last night, and this was the last thing he needed. As he came out of his room, he found Ohno and his father talking in the kitchen and Ohno left, excusing himself, as soon as Aiba entered the room.

He kept staring at his so called father without uttering a word, not believing that after all this time he'd even came there to talk to him. He was decided to not opening his mouth before his father would state what he was doing there exactly. He just wanted him to tell him whatever he had in his mind and leave.

"How are you?"

Aiba snorted before replying, he didn't needed that now.

"Fine thanks, I don’t need your concern"

Now after all that time, after kicking him out, he was concerned about his son? He stared directly to his father's eyes, trying to stay as emotionless as possible in front of the said man, not wanting other thing but that man to leave there, but it wasn't going to be that easy, it never was between them.

"I saw that guy the other day, he still hasn’t recovered."

So that was it, another walk to the past and how of a horrible person he was. He just said "oh" and kept staring at him, he really didn't need to be reminded about that, he remembered it perfectly already. He wasn't sorry about having protected Nino, and he was sure that he'd do it again, but the fact that he almost killed a person was still filling him with pain.

Meanwhile, his father continued.

"you haven’t changed a little, you don’t even regret it, huh? You almost killed a person Masaki."

"I know that already, I know it. But what did you expect, to stay still while they kill my friend?"

"Your friend? They are the ones that made you like this, a useless person that knows nothing apart of get into fights and get drunk till morning. I still don’t know how Satoshi still allows you to live with you"

Aiba couldn't deal with that anymore; he didn't need to hear that about. He already knew it; it was carved into his mind.

"Well dear father, unlike you Satoshi acts like family, not that you can know much about it though."

He wasn't going to let his father see he was affected by his words, and if he needed to fight back he was going to do it, despite of knowing perfectly fine how useless and troublesome he was for his brother, he had sworn in the past to not let his father’s words get into him or at least not to show it to him.

His father stormed out while yelling what waste of time had been coming to try to talk with him, he heard the front door slamming, while Ohno entered the kitchen with an apologetic face.

"I'm sorry, Aiba-chan"

"It’s me the one who's sorry, in top of all my crap to have you to deal with my father's shit..."

"Is ok, don't think about that and you're not useless, I'm glad to have you here" Ohno patted his shoulder while giving him a smile.

Aiba forced himself to smile back, he didn't want to make his brother feel bad or anything because of him

"I'm going out, see you later, ok? And sorry" he said walking out of the kitchen and heading outside.

Aiba went downstairs and rode his bike, he needed to clear out his mind, he was in such a good mood and now that was gone, why it was so hard for him to have a moment of peace?. He arrived to a desert spot near the beach where he had walked the night before with Sho, and sat on the sand, just watching the sea made him feel a bit more calmed. He didn't know how long he had been there when he felt a presence sitting next to him, he didn't needed to turn to know who it was.

"How you find me?"

"I'm your best friend Aibaka, I knew you'd be here. I called you at home and Oh-chan told me your father went to see you and ...that you fought again..."

"Of course he did..." Aiba mumbled in a dry tone

"I'm sorry, all this is my fault, if it wasn't for me..."

"Stop it Nino" Aiba took a deep breath with his gaze fixed on the waves breaking in the shore "Is not your fault, I don't regret what I did..." he looked at the slim guy next to him and put his hand on his shoulder "and you would have done the same for me, so don't ever say this is your fault, ok?"

Nino smiled at his friend.

"I'm going to pick Jun and then going out with the guys, want to come? I'm sure you'll see Sho-chan" said the small boy on a teasing tone

"Oi! What was that?" Aiba giggled and slapped his friend nape "but sure, let's go"

Both stood up and walked to their bikes to head to Jun's and Sho's university. Aiba was pissed off more to himself than with his father for letting him take away his good mood, he was hopping by the time he arrived to see Sho he could at least put a good face.

In a short while, they arrived and parked their bikes, he followed Nino in silence and saw him hugging Jun from behind, he was glad his friend seemed to find his perfect match. He caught Sho's gaze on him, and couldn't stop his heart to stop racing fast as the memory of the kiss came to his mind. After Jun and Nino started to made out, he saw his Sho walking to him.

"Are you ok?"

He smiled, he felt relieved and suddenly the bad things disappeared just by having him close

"I am now"

He saw him trying to say something but was interrupted by Nino who announced he and Jun were leaving.

"Well, we're leaving too right?" Aiba remembered Sho had promised to go out with him and was hopping he hadn't changed his mind, especially when he saw him spacing out after listened to his question. So he decided to ask once again

"So are we going or not?"

"Let's go before I change my mind" the teasing tone on Sho's voice really surprised him, but in a good way, he kinda liked it and couldn't avoid but to giggle while walking to get their bikes.

This wasn't the first time he felt Sho's body pressed against his, but now after the kiss it felt different, better. He smiled when he felt the other tighten his grip around his waist, sending electric touches everywhere; he would love to feel like this all the time.

Once they arrived to the skate park, he was anxious to see Sho's reaction; for sure this wasn't the place someone like him would be at. To his surprise, he didn't say anything, but the surprised look on his face was enough for him. Though he still needed to find out if that surprise face was a good or a bad thing. He walked with Sho behind him, expectant to any reaction but was cut off when Ryo and Yoko ran towards him, all loud and cheerful as usual and handed him a beer, when he turned he saw Sho talking to Jun, so he went to meet Nino and the rest of the guys, who gave him questioning looks regarding Sho's presence. As soon as he saw the two guys walking on their direction and Jun grabbing Nino's arm, he walked near Sho and wrapped his arm around him, clear signal to the others that no one should mess with him, or else they would have to deal with Aiba and that was never a good thing, but in order to vanish the still curious gazes he introduced him.

"Everyone, this is Sho, let's make sure he has lot of fun, ok?"

Fun was the key word for all of them, so everyone answered enthusiastically to it and didn't take long before they made Sho feel welcomed.

The night came so fast, everyone had been drinking more than they should and were really wasted, everyone but Aiba who once that saw Sho having a little too much fun decided to act responsible and stopped drinking, after all he needed to take him home and didn’t want to cause any trouble. When he realized what time it was, he went to pick Sho, who was singing happily next to Jun in front of the bonfire. He also made a sign to Nino that it was time to take Jun home. The other was also really drunk and didn't want that he or Nino to have trouble either. Somehow he found funny dealing with a drunk Sho, he was really chatty and loud, kinda cute if he was honest, but he guessed he didn't have many experience being a drunk.

He helped him to go up the bike and before parting he tried to make sure, he could take him home safe

"Now, Sho?"

The other was too busy mumbling something about having lots of fun

"Sho hold tight, ok? And most importantly… don't you dare to throw on me"

He saw the other making a weird signal with his hand that he took as a positive answer and they headed to Sho's home. Once there, he helped him to go off the bike and walked him to the door.

"You're so cute Aiba, annoying but very cute" Sho mumbled to which Aiba just giggled

"Good night Sho" he said while the other entered the house and even blow a kiss to him before closing the door.

Aiba was really amused with drunken Sho, to say the least, his mood definitely had gotten better in the moment he saw him earlier at school and despite his father's visit, this day hasn't been bad. He rode again his bike and headed home.
