I'm not exactly sure what kind of books you are into, but I must say, I just read Robert Heinlein's "Starship Troopers" and thought it was very interesting. He raises several interesting political viewpoints. And, if you saw the movie, you really can't compare the two.

I used to love the cgi animated cartoon-- which I'm sure is nothing like either the book or the movie.

I do like sci fi.
