Oh, God, this story just destroyed me. It's so tender and intimate, and I love that Marcus is so gentle and sweet with Esca, so eager to hear his stories and learn more about him, and Esca just leans into it and gives Marcus everything. And then that final bit where Marcus wants to just take away Esca's pain over that final scar. I just. MY HEART.

This is utterly gorgeous and I'm so glad you wrote it. I really hope you write more because you write beautifully. ♥

So glad you posted it here, I loved it on the kink meme. Apparently, I have a scar fetish ... :D but I think what I love about your story the most is that we get a glimpse into Esca's past, something that was dearly missing from the movie.

There's definitely lots more to find out about Esca. The movie doesn't go into his past very much at all, and the book only gives a few more snippets. Lots more fanfic potential!
