Good for them. At the risk of sounding like an Old Fart, children's TV today is crude, dire and one-dimensional compared with the golden age of Bagpuss & Co. I'll make an exception for Balamory but even that has finished now.

So we need more homegrown childrens TV?
I note the article says:
"It said investment by ITV1, GMTV, Channel 4 and Five had halved in real terms since 1998."

I wonder where all the money has gone? The digital revolution? Paying for things they were forced by the gvt to sell off?
