Do you make good money working at a gas station? I know we've had this discussion before but I have a chipmunk's memory span at best during the summer.
Your word usage always makes me sparkle on the inside. I'm going to start using the word nebulous at every chance I get. Even if it's just to describe something awesome: "Woaaaah, nebulous!"

I make $8.50 an hour ($1 more than Vermont's minimum wage). I don't know what minimum wage is in Canada or anything, but here that's not so great. If I was actually supporting myself it would suck a lot.

Minimum wage in the States is so pathetic! 8.75 is our minimum wage in Ontario. In British Columbia it's like 9.50, and in Alberta it's higher than here as well and they don't have to pay P.S.T. for whatever reason.
As for school, the housemate situation last year really sucked, but it should be remedied by living off campus this year. There's only two other girls who seem pretty cool, and four guys in like a "separate" house. Are you living off campus or in residence?

i don't know if the cost of living is higher in canada (you guys probably have more taxes, at least), but our minimum wage laws are utterly ridiculous. federal minimum wage is $6.55 (it recently increased from $5.85), which is...like working for free, almost.
i live on campus in pretty excellent housing, which definitely makes school more fun. your school situation sounds really lame, and i hope you figure something out to make it work for you. is transferring an option?
