I've given my characters a healthy dose of Veritaserum and now they have to tell the truth. What does this mean for you? Ask my characters questions about anything and everything and they will truthfully answer it. So, go ahead and ask what you want. He can't beat around the bush with half-truths.

Chuck falls victim to Jeremy's fists whenever he's angry about anything, regardless how minor, if she has the misfortune to be the closest target. Somehow, he always twists things to be her fault.

Her other stepbrother, when home, often covers up the messes Jeremy makes including whatever he does to Chuck: help craft excuses, place blame on the girl, give his brother an alibi. In a few cases, talked Jeremy out of opening his mouth when Marcus has pounded on him.

Her stepmother, naturally, refuses to believer her children do any wrong. She's more than willing to believe Chuck is an instigator an a trouble maker.
