Ah, intent. It's a funny thing, that intent doesn't really matter so much most of the time.

Also, in my expansive amounts of free time, I've come to re-realize that American soap opera actors are awful. Scenery chewing is a must.

It is, isn't it?

Not to be disparaging, but I'm sorry to say you're right. And I say this as a person who spent time in British soap fandom and German soap fandom. I couldn't, ever, do anything with American soaps... On the other hand, I do own a brilliant book about it!

I think I watch because it is so awful, to be honest.

You should invent an M&M game. Like, "a blue one when someone returns from the dead", "a green one when someone says, 'What happened?'" etc.

I am in a wheelchair; have been for about 12 years now. I am perfectly normal except for the ehole not able to walk thing-- and even there, I can get up, if I must, with a huge effort and take a few, tiny steps.

I talk, think, see, hear, and have full mental faculties.

When I go out... I have been ignored, with people asking my partner, who often pushes my chair things like what I might like to eat, drink or if I am having a lovely day. I have been PETTED by strangers who seem to feel that as I am in a wheelchair, I must be a corgi.

So I hear you... trust me I hear you... you are who and what you are and I will never treat you like something other than a full person, rather than treat you like you are what you have. :)

I hear this so often and that has to be so frustrating. I can't imagine being petted like a corgi, wow.

I pass as neuro-typical most of the time, so I don't get a lot of hassle until people know that I'm not. I have that advantage at least. But thank you, it's appreciated. ♥

I'm in the process of trying to figure out if i belong on the spectrum/if ASD can help explain some fo my particular traits and difficulties - hence i am always particularly interested when i find autistic women.

I was 28 before they diagnosed me; for women it can take quite a while because we "hide" our symptoms better, apparently. Good luck!

Thanks :)
I'm waiting until the specialist in diagnosing adult women i found comes back from maternity leave (October)!

I saw a specialist, too; until the specialist, they all said, "no, maybe, well, we don't know."
