My father called me out of bed this morning to tell me that my grandmother, my only surviving grandparent, died last night. I had heard a few days ago that she was very seriously ill, and my middle sister and I were making plans to go see her this week, but it was not to be ( Read more... )

She sound a lot like my step grandmother, except for the snob part, sadly she died young from a rapidly spreading cancer, she was only 70, no age at all these days :(

Your post immediately made me think of my grandmother too. I can still see me sitting on her couch, watching 'Neighbours' with her. :) I know what it's like to lose a grandmother, so yeah... I'm truly sorry for your loss. I'm thinking of you and your family. *hugs*

I'm so sorry for your loss. Alzheimer's is a horrid disease and it took my grandmother early when I was 15. Yours sounded like a wonderful woman who led a full live.
