I got nothing, except I find it interesting that until very, very recently, both of them thought of family as something that was, something they had once and no longer do. Always looking backward, never at what is around them in the moment.

Also, (((hug))).

I like that family theory. I like that a lot; interesting thought.

*hugs* Thank you.

Did you erase something from your post? Sorry if I'm missing something, brain is numb. Uh...this has nothing to do with Steve and Danny but here, have a happy song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A_g2Pgf-C78

I'm sorry you're not feeling better. *brings tea*

Nope, didn't erase anything, just couldn't come up with a coherent thought.

Happy song is happy! Thanks. Tea also appreciated. ♥

Oh, bb. <3

Well, you know my tie theory, how Danny eventually accepted that that time in his life was over. It's also because Steve likes him better without it, but they haven't yet found that object that signifies their relationship. I suspect there never will be, because Steve wouldn't be tied down like that, so Danny will always be wanting.

I'll survive. I promise. Just a few more days.

I think that straining third button might be closer to it all than they realise.

That button is always wanting as well ;-)

Danny finds Steve's tattoos very annoying. It's the way they highlight Steve's stupid biceps, and how they peek out from under his shirtsleeves, beckoning Danny to slide his fingers underneath and lift the sleeves so he can examine them thoroughly, since they're way too intricate for casual glance, much like Steve himself.

I'm now having a mental image of Steve with his t-shirt sleeves pushed up to his shoulders. Nnnnngh.

I completely agree with Danny.

Oh yes, I think that is a look that would work for Steve.

I think the big problem for Danny is that he's sort of eye level with the tattoos. They weigh on his mind a lot. But Steve always complains when Danny pushes his sleeves up like that, says it's uncomfortable and Danny has to tell him to stop talking, right now, because he's busy looking.

Danny is very good at looking. I'd wager gazing at his pretty team, particularly Steve and his tattoos, is one of his favourite things to do.

I was writing a short fic yesterday and I was thinking about how Steve just stares at Danny, like he can see inside him. That stare doesn't give any quarter and I like how often Danny just confesses things to Steve that he probably doesn't tell other people. Men in media are so often portrayed as not talking and not communicating, especially with other men in any sort of realistic way so I rather like that aspect of their relationship.

That is a very good point! The boys talk; I love that about them, too, but I hadn't really thought about it. And yeah, Danny confesses to Steve, he doesn't even realise why :).

I think that stare also gets criminals to confess to Steve, but he's shameless about using it on Danny. :D

Steve uses it when it's necessary :).
