I know why I'm doing no sports

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to tag along with a couple of colleagues and have a beginners' golf lesson. We were told what it's about and were explained how to do the most basic strokes. Of course, we also got to try some of the strokes ourselves: a putt, a chip and a drive.

It was more fun than I expected it to be, and I can see why it might be attractive to people but when the vice president of the club told us how high the annual fees are, I knew that playing golf is definitely out of my range.

Our instructor had warned us that today we might experience some muscle ache in our back because we weren't accustomed to some of the movements. Well, he was wrong. My back is just fine. Instead my thighs and my backside hurt because you have to slightly bend your knees whenever you do a stroke. And my arms hurt even more. I didn't even know that my arms have muscles in these particular places. Ouch!
