So, I'm in my apartment. Woohoo. I need to do some stuff around it (paint the godawful orange) and other small things, but it feels like home. I got my furniture yesterday. Yay for real beds. A suggestion. If you have the money for one, get a collapsible silicon food strainer. First, they save space in a kitchen. Secondly they are freaking wonderful. They do not conduct heat, so straining hot pasta will not burn you.

They are not cheap, but they are great and almost indestructible.

Where can I get one? Do you know? I like suggestions on things like that because I can use the pot lids until I get a good one.

MMMM, I should think the Container Store might carry them. If not try Williams of Sonoma. If you don't have a store in town they are on line.

The outlet stores here carry them, too. They are made by Rubbermaid so you might see them online there.

We have one. I love it. I am going to buy the silicon muffin pans too.

I'll definitely look when I get there (I'm too behind after talking to my mom for like 30 minutes earlier) to do it today. And we've got a Williams of Sonoma store right here. I'm located in Buckhead where you can find just about everything.

There's silicon muffin pans too?? Hot damn. All my dishes are melamine so they don't break.

It seems like it is the month of getting into apartments after long and crappy waits :D

Are you enjoying your time back in your apartment? Away from the parents and with your little collection of critters and Addie?

The kitchen is pretty much 95% set up. It's the only thing I basically brought over. I set up the microwave earlier today. I love my little place. Even the fact the light switch is a hair's breath from being in the shower with me. I need to get a second curtain as an extra protection of not being electrocuted. Being dead is hell on dating.

Oh! God. Sorry, I meant to tell you it's currently packed in a box at my mom's. As soon as it surfaces, I'll send it on. Sorry! Between school, packing/moving, and my mom I've been absent-minded about things.
