If you actually like animals you don't want to work at PetSmart anyway. They really do suck a lot.

I actually like PetsMart, mostly because they have what I need for all my animals. I can't condemn them too much because they're the only petstores around me. Well, Petco, too. But I mean, there are no mom-pop choices within a 15 minute radius of me. I've looked.

Yeah, I loved PetSmart, like it was my favorite store. And it's definitely the easiest place for me to get stuff for my animals, but I just can't make myself shop there anymore. I refuse until they stop selling animals, or at least start treating them with the respect they deserve. I could maybe brush that whole investigation off but one of the stores that was part of it was the PetSmart right down the street from me, the one I used to shop at all the time. I just can't condone that. I would shop at Petco or Pet Supplies Plus, but I have a feeling they're not any better. :-/

I got Jack at PetsMart, and two of my gerbils (the males, both deceased now). The one I get mine from is super clean (like, the bedding is never dirty, they smell clean, Jack was domesticated right off the bat), so I don't feel quite so bad. It's purposely kept up. Petco for me is way worse. It stinks in that store, no matter which location I go to. I don't go there unless I have to. PetsMart's right up the road, anyway. Petco is a necessity if I'm feeling weak/sick because PM is in a high traffic area.
