a (disjointed) thinky thought picspam on gene "the guv" hunt, part 1 [SPOILERS FOR A2A S3]

May 13, 2010 22:26

i was initially going to do a joint sam-and-alex picspam regarding why the eff they're in the geniverse, but in thinking about it a bit, i'm going to cover the gene genie before i tackle them.

(important side note: while there are spoilers for A2A S3, there are none for the last two episodes in this post, in case you're concerned about that.)

oi! 56k is not welcome! end of. )

Nothing meaningful to add, but this is a bloody good theory!

(Is it 9 o'clock yet?)

i am curious to see the second part. you'll have to get it in quick! but this is making sense, and doesn't rely on bible quotes, so thumbs up.

yeh, something about those bible quotes itches me. or its just me. and to be true, matthew graham didn't cross me as a guy who shoves something like that down the viewers throat [so to say], from wot i gathered through his tweets and some other interviews i'd read.

on the other hand, *growl* for having to wait for part two. regarding theories, i've not read that much up till now, and begun only myself dabbling in them, but it would make sense. if there's not the one thing, that regarding the dead copper i tend more towards chris.

something else, not only regarding gene alone, but yet. what is about artemis?

i had to stop because otherwise i'd be writing even more at arse o'clock and things would likely not make much sense, except in my head.

there's a few who think the dead cop is chris, too. but to me, while there's some resemblance, there's one thing niggling: the uniform. it's 1960s vintage. i don't think chris would be/is from that era. if i were to select one, it'd be later in the 1980s, or the start of the 1990s. i dunno.

artemis. i'm surprised there's not been much more about that in the series overall. there is some greek mythology there; she is the goddess of the hunt. (her roman mythological equivalent is diana.) ooh! and something else i just noticed!

Artemis later became identified with Selene, a Titaness who was a Greek moon goddess, sometimes depicted with a crescent moon above her head. (there's a crescent moon in keats' office, and the name of the dating agency in 3x02 was "crescent moon".)

yep, that regarding the moon and the dating office in relation to the goddess was something that came into my mind somewhen later after i'd postet that comment. and it's indeed odd, that it wasn't mentioned more or somehow, coz as far as i remember [or think to remember], that guy was quite keen to get it back. so it must be something ... dunno, important to him? if not, why lock it up in a vault in the middle of where ever ( ... )

All of this looks lovely. And you KNOW I agree with most of it, since I'm a source you cited lol. I do love your connection with Keats letting them go/pushing them on and Gene begging them to stay and cheat death.
