Thanks to all those of you who offered advice on my pudding and egg white dilemma last week. Apologies to those whose advice I subsequently ignored :)

I actually went ahead with the crazy winter pavlova idea, and it actually turned out reasonably nice. (At least, I thought it did. And other people said they liked it, though they may have just been ( Read more... )

Ooh, I'd thought you were going to put the ganache on as a layer. I like meringue to be a bit yellowed, it makes it feel more marshmallowey. And for a lemon meringue pie you definitely need some little brown peaks on top!

I thought I was going to do the chocolate as a layer, too - just in the middle where the fruit/cream goes. Then I wondered if scribbling it might be pretty on the edges, and mitigate the potential sogginess a bit.

Lemon meringue definitely needs brown bits.
