Ok, ok, I admit it. Over the Christmas period I watched the festive editions of Bake Off, and was once again sucked into thinking "oh, that looks fun".

white chocolate snowflakes - I would have made them out of chocolate paste, but then I have a rather nice snowflake cutter.

Anyway, it looks lovely to me.

What is chocolate paste? Is it a thing one buys, or makes out of chocolate?

It's a thing one makes, out of chocolate and golden syrup. Basically it turns into a sort of chocolate playdough.
I have a recipe in a book, but this looks similar; http://artisancakecompany.com/recipe/how-to-make-perfect-modeling-chocolate/ just use golden syrup instead of corn syrup.

Well, it's difficult to see how chocolate playdough could be a bad thing :-)
