Vaguely gutted I didn't make it to this, but felt like a bigger HL fan than me should probably have the ticket (and they really didn't look like they were enjoying themselves at Indietracks). Hopefully the Lovely Eggs will play London again soon, they're one of my favourite live bands at the moment.
I've always thought of the Piccadilly Line as being dark blue, which is why I wouldn't call the Victoria Line the blue one. I'll have to bear your Citymapper experience in mind, I'm a recent convert but haven't had the need to stress-test it yet.
I love gig reviews.. I'm just lousy at keeping up with my F list :)
Sounds like we were wise to choose to drive to Wembley yesterday evening; we thought about train and tube but feared the scenario you found yourself in; Glad you got home in the end
I lived in Oxford until five years ago, where it's never really very far to get home. I still haven't really got the hang of the tube shutting.
Mind you, we could physically have walked home on Saturday if we really had to. It would have been pretty miserable, and would have written off Sunday, but I did find it a consoling thought at one point!
Hurrah! It still surprises me that I once didn't like Helen Love. I really enjoyed The School when I saw them too - they played a gig with a friend's band in Reading a few years ago. I should still have the setlist somewhere, it had little doodles on it and everything.

Citymapper is, in general, awesome and I'd recommend it. Just don't trust in on the matter of night buses to Ealing.
