Your head can go real screw with saucers chasing you

On Saturday, I bumped into philipstorry and we scooped snow_leopard off her train for a day of wombling round museums. Our principal purpose was to go to the Man Ray exhibition at the National Potrait Gallery.

I thought this was going to be about photos of Weimaraners, and then realised I was thinking of William Wegman, who called his dog Man Ray (and a subsequent one Fay Wray). Derp.

Sorry!

Weimeraners would have fitted in nicely, they're practically greyscale anyway...

Sounds great! I really like some of his stuff, although (as you say) some is less readily identifiable as the work of a great.
I really need to conquer my antipathy to elbowing through crowds, otherwise I'll never get to see any of these big exhibitions.

I don't think I usually notice crowds at exhibitions - there are other people there, but I don't feel they're getting in my way (or me in theirs). I think it was very much exacerbated at the NPG by the tininess of lots of the photos.

Even then, crowds seem to go in waves so long as you don't mind seeing things a little out of order you can usually find a bit that's currently unlooked at.
