Semi-naked in somebody else's room

Today's utterly pointless piece of curiosity... assuming that you are dressed, do you know what colour your pants are? (Note for Americans: I'm talking about underwear.) I don't require to know what colour they are (though you are of course welcome to tell me, if you wish) - I just want to know whether you know (without checking).

One kudo to you. If there's anything better in this world, who cares?

Most of my pants are the same colour (black, or at least charcoal...). I have a few pairs in other colours that match with bras, and a few 'skin tone' pairs for wearing under light-coloured dresses in the summer.

Exact ditto, except for this abomination known as 'charcoal' of which you speak. ;-)

I do own some charcoal pants, I should think, except mine are really ex-black pants :)

There's been this odd situation for years where if I find some underwear if a fabric and fitting that I actually like, it's only available in black (and sometimes also an especially horrible beige).

It's a pity I'm not a goth :-)

We'll get you eventually, from the underwear outwards... :)

Were you trying to remember what colour your underwear was today and, if so, why?
Admittedly, if it weren't the fact that i only possess knickers in one colour, I wouldn't know...

Not especially, no! It's a poll I've been meaning to post for about three years, and I just remembered (actually, I remembered when I was getting dressed this morning, hence making careful note of what I was putting on!)

Question originally arose from a "what t-shirt are you wearing" conversation when a number of the conversants were wearing jumpers, and some had to check...

Last night in the pub three of us were wearing identical black hoodies (we know they are identical because we all got them at the same time from the same place). The question was asked: were we all wearing the same tshirt underneath? I knew it wasn't likely to be the same as wimble's but I did have to have a quick look to check I couldn't be wearing the same one as narenek. (It turned out I had a stripy top from Principles on, rather than a tshirt, so that was easy. We do have at least five tshirt designs that are the same, though - distinguished by size.)

My boyfriend and I both own t-shirts from Diesel Sweeties, which are plain with a slogan written on them in a pixellated font. We have different shirts, but they do look very similar at a glance (today I'm wearing this one in black).

On the last day of our summer holiday last year, we discovered that we each had one clean shirt left... and they were these nearly-identical black/white pixellated shirts. I think one of us elected to wear a grubby shirt rather than walk about matching :)

s/always/almost always/

I have a large collection of plain black cotton pants which are almost identical - I think there are actually three slightly distinct types, but they're near as makes no difference. I own one or two pairs of "nice" undies that match bras too, but I can be sure without checking that I'm not wearing those as a) I wouldn't on a weekday to work and b) they feel different. And actually they're mostly-black too.

Too slow for the kudo today.
